Joe Spence (December 15, 1898 in Throckley - December 31, 1966) was a English football player. Joe was purchased from Scotswood in March 1919 by Manchester United. His first game for the club came on August 30, 1919 against Derby County. He is currently 6th on the all-time list for goals with 168 and 7th for appearances with 510. He left the club in 1933.
