Peter Simpson (born January 13, 1945) is an English former football player.

Born in Gorleston, Norfolk, Simpson initially joined Arsenal as a member of the club's groundstaff 1960, before joining as an apprentice a year later, and turning professional the year after that. He made his first team debut in 1964 against Chelsea, but didn't break fully into the side until the 1966-67 season. A versatile player, he played in every position on the pitch (except as goalkeeper!), before settling into the left back position.

Simpson was a leading figures in Arsenal's brief success in the early 1970s, winning the Inter-Cities Fairs Cup in 1970 and the First Division and FA Cup Double in 1971. He continued to play for the club in the barren years following the Double, though by 1975 age was starting to get the better of him, and he was only a semi-regular in the last few years of his Arsenal career.

He left Arsenal in 1978, having played 468 times for the club. He had brief stints with the New England Teamen in the United States, and then Hendon, before retiring. Despite his long career at the top, he was never capped for England.
