Matthew Sadler (born February 26, 1985 in Solihull, England) is an English football player who currently plays for Birmingham City F.C. as a defender.
Sadler was captain of the England national football team at both under-16 and under-17 level, and started two Premiership games straight after Christmas, including one match against Manchester United F.C.
He signed for a two-month long loan period to Northampton Town in 2003, playing eight goals in that period, and, in May 2004, signed a new contract to keep him at Birmingham for as long as possible.
