Gary Pallister (born June 30, 1965) is an English football player, most noted for his nine-year tenure at Manchester United F.C. during the late eighties and early nineties.

His footballing career started at age 19, as a defender for Middlesbrough F.C., for whom he made 156 league appearances over nearly five seasons, sandwiching a loan spell to Darlington F.C. during the first season. Interest from Manchester United grew until they signed him on August 29, 1989 for 2.3 million pounds. Amongst the most important achievements with the club was his part in the victory in the Cup Winners' Cup final in which Manchester United participated, winning 2-1 over FC Barcelona.

The final season Pallister played for Manchester United was the 1997/98 season in which Manchester United came second in the league table, losing by one point to Arsenal F.C.

During his time at Manchester United, Gary Pallister won three FA Cups, four Premiership titles, one League Cup and one Cup Winners Cup.

Transferred to Middlesbrough F.C. for his three final playing years, he scored one goal in 55 league appearances, as well as appearing in 2 FA Cup matches and 4 League Cup matches.

His final playing season, in which Middlesbrough finished 14th in the table, was season 2000/01.

He has since become a regular TV football pundit.
