From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Stefan Moore (born February 23, 1984 in Birmingham, England) is a football (soccer) player who currently plays for Queens Park Rangers as a forward.
Moore began his career at Aston Villa, and was captain of the club's 2002 FA Youth Cup winning side. At that point in his career, Moore was rated by many as a better prospect than Wayne Rooney.
His first league appearance came on October 27, 2001, but as a Chesterfield F.C. player, as he had been loaned out to Chesterfield for seven weeks. This match, against Blackpool F.C. finished 1-0 in Blackpool's favour.
Moore scored 2 goals for Aston Villa, and was used more frequently as a substitute than as a choice in the starting eleven.
A knee injury sustained in January 2004 halted his progress somewhat, and from then on only sporadically appeared for Aston Villa. Between August 3 and October 3 he was signed on loan to Millwall F.C., before finishing the season on loan at Leicester City F.C.
Moore signed for QPR on 14th June 2005 on a free transfer. Strangely, due to a mix-up between the two clubs, Moore was paraded in a QPR shirt on the day before the transfer was actually completed!
