From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Luke Moore (born February 13, 1986 in Birmingham, England) is an English football player who currently plays for Aston Villa as a forward.
The brother of Q.P.R.'s ex-Aston Villa striker Stefan, who together were a crucial part of the FA Youth Cup winning team of 2002. On December 12, 2003 he was loaned to Wycombe Wanderers, making his debut in a 1-1 draw against Notts County on the following day, December 13. He only had to wait until his next game, against A.F.C. Bournemouth to score his debut goal in a 2-0 victory.
Upon his return to Aston Villa, he benefited from an ankle injury to his brother in order to make his debut, as a substitute in a 2-2 draw against Birmingham City.
His first senior goal for Aston Villa came in the 2-0 victory against Middlesbrough on March 5, 2005.
He has been quoted by some Everton F.C.-based media sources as being a "better prospect than Wayne Rooney". However with Villa signing additional forwards such as Kevin Phillips and Milan Baros in the summer of 2005 Moore seems destined to spend the 2005/06 season again on the fringes of the first team.
