Danny Granville (born January 19, 1975 in Islington) is a English footballer who plays for Crystal Palace in The Championship. He wears the number 3 shirt and is a left back.
Danny Granville began his career with Cambridge United, later moving to Chelsea in 1997, where soon lost his place to the up and coming Graeme Le Saux. He was signed by Leeds in 1998 for £1,600,000. In 1999 he moved again, this time to Manchester City. While at Manchester City he was pushed onto the bench once again and spent a month on loan to Norwich City.
In December 2001 Danny signed for Palace where he has since played in the first team regularly. He remains a solid defender who enjoys going forward and delivering crosses, and is also dangerous with free-kicks from around the opposition's penalty area.
He has represented England in the under-21s team. However, with the senior team rather spoilt when it comes to left backs, Granville has never represented his country at the highest level.
