Nathan Robert Ellington (born 2 July 1981 in Bradford) is an English professional footballer. 'The Duke', a striker, currently plays for West Bromwich Albion.
He began his career with non-league Walton & Hersham before moving to Bristol Rovers. In February 2003 he was transferred to Wigan Athletic for £1.2 million. After the 2004-05 season, in which he led the Football League Championship in goal scoring while helping Wigan earn promotion to England's top flight for the first time in their history, Ellington became one of the more desirable properties in English football. He joined West Bromwich Albion on 16 August 2005 for £3m.
