Danny Butterfield (born November 21, 1979 in Boston, Lincolnshire) is an English footballer who plays for Crystal Palace in The Championship. He wears the number number 20 shirt and is a defender and central midfielder.
Danny Butterfield was educated at Boston Grammar School in Boston, Lincolnshire. He arrived at Crystal Palace in 2002 on a free transfer from Grimsby. He played regularly for the next two seasons however when Palace were promoted he found it hard to maintain his place in the first team.
He hopes to receive further opportunities in season 2005/06 when Palace have returned to the Coca Cola Championship.
