Amanda Stott (born on May 10, 1982) is a Canadian country music singer from Brandon, Manitoba, Canada.
Amanda grew up on her family farm but her father was a saxophonist and pianist. She started singing in her church choir when she was just three years old and gained prominence at the 1994 Dauphin ContryFest. In 1999, she was signed to Warner Music Canada and gained fame in the United States when Country Music Television started to air some of her videos. She also won a Juno Award for Best New Solo Artist. Her single, Paper Rain, from Women and Songs, Vol. 8 reached #1 on the Canadian Top 40 chart.
She performed on July 1, 2005 as part of the Canada Day celebrations, taking place on Parliament Hill in Ottawa.
