Maia Lee on the cover of FHM Singapore

Maia Lee, (李芝瑛, pinyin: Li Zhīyīng, born January 31, 1983), was a finalist in the popular talent contest Singapore Idol. Known for her high-energy performances, she was a controversial figure with her "bad girl" image.

Maia has eleven tattoos covering her petite frame (she stands at 1.48 meters), and recently, she has had an image of an eagle tattooed on her neck, which symbolizes her Chinese name, "Ying". Maia also has a three year old son, Tyrese Lee.

Given nicknames such as "Rock Chick", "Hot Babe" and "Sexy Momma", she graced the May 2005 cover of the popular male lifestyle magazine FHM. Maia was voted #8 on FHM Singapore's World's Most Sexiest Women list.

Maia recently performed two of three Chinese tracks from her newly-released album, titled "Bu Hui Wang Ji" (Never Forget) and "Zhi Guai Wo" (Blame Myself), at the annual President's Star Charity - "Zpop" concert organised by the local newspaper Lian He Zao Bao. Maia sent the 10.000-strong crowd wild with her showmanship.

Emotionally Advised - Album Cover

Maia is part of the local techno trio, The Usual Suspects, who have three #1 hits on WKRZ 91.3 FM, namely "China Girl", "The Love You Promised", and "Sunburn". As an artiste signed with EQ Music, her debut English solo album, titled Maia - Emotionally Advised, has been released on 20 August 2005, and showcases 3 songs in Mandarin, on top of the 10 English tracks. With song titles like "I Don't Need You" and "Scum", Maia has once again live up to her rebel-attitude image.
