From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Terry Scott (May 4, 1927-July 26, 1994) was a comedian who appeared in seven Carry On films. He also appeared in the BBC's domestic sitcom Terry and June with June Whitfield, he became one of Britain's top stars of all-time.
Scott was born in Watford, studied accounting, and served in the navy during World War II. He became well known to television audiences for his role alongside Hugh Lloyd in Hugh and I during the early 1960s and went on to appear in several series of Happy Ever After and its successor, Terry and June, to the extent that many people believed he was actually married to co-star June Whitfield. The two also starred in the movie version of Bless This House.
Scott's novelty record, "My Brother", received regular airplay on BBC radio for many years. He was also the voice actor for Penfold the hamster in the animated series Dangermouse, alongside David Jason as the title character. He claimed that he did no more of the Carry On films because he was too busy with other projects.
He died in Surrey.
