From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Charles Rogers (born May 23, 1981 in Saginaw, Michigan) is a football player for the Detroit Lions.
Rogers played for Saginaw High School.
He later attended Michigan State University, where he became one of the most dominant wide receivers in college football. While at MSU, Rogers was considered a contender for the Heisman Trophy.
Rogers was drafted second overall in the 2003 NFL Draft by the Lions.
Rogers showed great poise during the first 5 games of the 2003 season. Unfortunately, Rogers broke his collarbone while practicing a speed drill with Dre' Bly. He was out for the season. Rogers was expected to come back from the injury, and have a big season in 2004. However during the third play of the season against the Chicago Bears, Rogers suffered another collarbone injury. He was once again out for the season.
