David Yow is an American musician. He cofounded the Austin, Texas rock group Scratch Acid. Yow originally played bass guitar, then switched to singing before Scratch Acid relocated to Chicago, Illinois. When that group dissolved, Yow cofounded a new group, the now defunct band The Jesus Lizard. He was notorious for playing shows completely drunk and incoherent.
