Paul Lambert (born August 7, 1969) is a Scottish footballer and is also currently a football manager.
Lambert started his playing career at Linwood Rangers in 1984, before transferring to St Mirren F.C. in 1985. He played here for 8 years before transferring to Motherwell F.C. in 1993.
In 1996 Lambert transferred to the German Bundesliga side Borussia Dortmund. He was well liked by the fans in Germany, and he contributed to the team's success in winning the 1997 UEFA Champions League.
In November 1997, after one year playing in the Bundesliga, he was signed by Celtic F.C. for a fee in the region of £2,000,000 where he played until the end of his career. He was also a Scotland international and played in the World Cup
After studying for football coaching qualifications in 2005, he landed his first managerial job with Livingston F.C. on June 1 2005. Although he had not intended to play for his new club Lambert registered as a player in late August 2005 to cover for any injury shortages.
