Kim Gordon (born April 28, 1953) plays bass and guitar in the rock band Sonic Youth. She also plays in the band Free Kitten. In 1989 she, Sadie May, and Lydia Lunch teamed up as the band Harry Crews and released the album Naked in Garden Hill. She credits Rochestarian Del Rivers, a hometown friend, as an early influence.

In 1984 she married fellow Sonic Youth member Thurston Moore, with whom she has a daughter, Coco Hayley Gordon Moore. Fellow rock band Rapeman recorded a tribute to her on their album Two Nuns and a Pack Mule entitled "Kim Gordon's Panties"..

She is also a well established artist. She recently starred in Gus Van Sant's Last Days, a fictionalized biopic of one of her close friends, Kurt Cobain.
