Mark Tremonti is the current lead guitarist for the band Alter Bridge. He formerly played guitar for the band Creed. He also does background vocals and has contributed backing vocals to songs performed by both bands.
Mark Tremonti plays his signature Paul Reed Smith Tremonti Model Guitar. The guitar was discontinued for a time due to Gibson's copyright infringement lawsuit against PRS, but production was cleared to resume in September 2005.
During his time as the Creed axeman, soloing wasn't really an option because of the lack of a second guitarist. but Alter Bridge Vocalist Myles Kennedy - formerly of the Mayfield 4 - is an accomplished guitarist and provides backing for Tremonti live.
Born and raised in Detroit, Michigan, Mark Tremonti today resides in Florida after moving from Grosse Pointe, Michigan. Mark and his wife Victoria Rodriguez welcomed their first child Austen on May 24th, 2005.
