Barrett Martin was the drummer for the Seattle group the Screaming Trees. A multi-instrumentalist, his services were also utilized on the well-known Mad Season side project. In 2004, Barrett released a solo album of modern jazz entitled The Painted Desert. His first band in Seattle was actually called N-Reactor which later became Thin Men. He left Thin Men to join Skin Yard.
