Billy Staples (aka Billy Hine) (b. April 4, 1958) is a radio producer, comedy writer and screen actor from Bellmore, NY. Billy got his start in acting in the movie Use Your Head in 1996. In 2001, Billy joined The Ron and Fez Show as a writer, producer and phone screener. He earned the nickname "Billy Staples" from his multiple stomach-stapling operation. On the air, Billy was the butt of many practical jokes as well as some hysterical memorable moments, as well being in the middle of several controversies. In August 2002, Billy hit a low point in his career when he bombed doing stand-up opening for comedian Jim Norton in Red Bank, NJ. After The Ron and Fez Show moved to Washington, D.C., Billy was not invited to continue to be part of the staff by management at WJFK-FM. Billy has many other acting credits as well and his video can be seen at http://www.reelact.com/billystaples

In November 2003, Billy appeared as a bus driver in an episode of the TV series Third Watch. Billy also made a mark after moving to Los Angeles by starring as the hyena in a music video by the band Incubus entitled "Talk Show on Mute".

Billy has since moved back to New York and appeared in the off-broadway production "All the Wild Horses" as Fat Tony in June 2005. Billy Staples is still being represented by Green Key Management as well as by Mark Turner as his radio and broadcasting agent at the New York offices of Abrams Artists.
