Derek Thompson (born on April 4, 1948) is a Belfast, Northern Ireland-born British television actor, most notable for playing Charlie Fairhead in the long running series Casualty.
Having had many screen relationships, he is the only remaining original cast members, and in 2004 went on six-month sabbatical to Canada. Thompson is also a horse racing pundit and presenter on Channel 4's At the Races and talkSPORT.
