David Wayne (born Wayne James McMeekan on 30 January 1914 in Traverse City, Michigan; died 9 February 1995 in Santa Monica, California) was a Broadway, film, and television actor, with a career spanning nearly half a century. He was most recently well-known as the curmudgeonly Dr. Amos Wetherby in the TV series House Calls.
