Katy Rose (born January 27, 1987, real name: Kathryn Rosemary Bullard) is an American rock singer.
She was born in Los Angeles, and grew up in Tarzana, California.
Her first recordings to be released were in 2003, on movie soundtracks. Her song "Lemon" was for the movie Thirteen, and "Teaching Myself to Dream" was done for the Agent Cody Banks soundtrack. Her debut album, Because I Can, including the single "Overdrive", was released on her 17th birthday, January 27, 2004. In the same year, "Overdrive" was also included in the movie Mean Girls. Her debut album displays a wide range of different vocal styles including grunge music and Lounge music, but with Pop hooks. Her music is deeply lyrical and frequently poetic in nature.
