Serge Lifar (April 2, 1905, Kiev - December 15, 1986, Lausanne) was a Russian-born French dancer and choreographer. In 1923, he joined Sergei Diaghilev's Ballets Russes. Later, he was a principal dancer with the Paris Opera Ballet.
