Mili Avital (Hebrew:מילי ×ביטל) (born 30 March 1972) is an Israeli actress. Born in Jerusalem and raised in Tel-Aviv, she built a successful Israeli stage and film career (winning an Israeli Academy Award for Best Supporting Actress in 1992) before moving to the States. Discovered by a talent agent while working in New York as a waitress, her first US role was Sha'uri in Roland Emmerich's 1994 film Stargate. Later appearances have included Dead Man with Johnny Depp, and the lead role of Scheherezade in the ABC/BBC miniseries Arabian Nights. In 2001 she played Devorah Baron in the television movie Uprising, which was based on the 1943 Warsaw Ghetto Uprising.
