Brendan Gleeson was born on March 29, 1955 in Dublin, Ireland. He started acting at age 34 and has acted in over 30 films including Cold Mountain, 28 Days Later, Troy, Kingdom of Heaven, The Village and Braveheart. He frequently appears in the role of mentor or authority figure. He and his wife, Mary, have 4 sons. He will be playing the character Mad-Eye Moody in the upcoming movie Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire.
