Jonathan Ahdout is an American actor who has played Esmail Behrani in the film House of Sand and Fog, and Behrooz Araz in the television series 24. Coincidentally, he portrayed the son of a character played by Shohreh Aghdashloo in both roles. He has said in an interview that both of them were surprised to learn the other had been cast on 24.
He was born in Santa Monica, California to his Jewish Iranian parents, Yahya and Jacqueline; and now resides in Brentwood with his parents and siblings, Melody (born in Iran) and Daniel (born in CA). He has attended Sinai Akiba Academy and Harvard-Westlake School.
