From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Dominique Michel was born on September 24, 1932, at Sorel-Tracy, Quebec under the name of Aimée Sylvestre.
She begins her career in cabarets. She begins her fame by performing songs written by Raymond Lévesque. She then subsequently sings with Jean Coutu.
She makes her television debut by co-animating a varied show. The television program Moi et l'autre, in which she is co-starring with Denise Filiatrault, knows an enormous success in its duration, from 1996 to 1972.
From 1977 à 1982, she obtains a lot of first role in television programs (Dominique, Chère Isabelle and Métro-boulot-dodo).
She shows her multiple talents in the ending of year's show Bye Bye from Radio-Canada.
At the cinema, she plays for the first time in Tiens-toi bien après les oreilles à papa with Yvon Deschamps in 1971. She plays for cineast Denys Arcand in two movies who get known outside of Quebec: Le Déclin de l'empire américain and Les Invasions barbares.
She is also in the cast of various movies since 1987.
She is also a comedian. She notably co-starred with Daniel Lemire and animated multiple times the Festival Juste pour rire.
She also receives, like Denise Filiatrault, the Grand Prix Gémau from l'Académie canadienne du cinéma et de la télévision in 1995.
