Gerry Marsden (born on September 24, 1942 in Liverpool, England) of the British Invasion hit band, Gerry and the Pacemakers; they had #1 hits with Ferry Cross the Mersey and Don't Let the Sun Catch You Crying.
They were, for a short period of time, the biggest rivals to The Beatles. The manager Brian Epstein was the manager of both bands for a period of time.
They disbanded in 1967.
