From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Dale Bozzio (born Dale Frances Consalvi on March 2, 1955) is the lead singer for the band Missing Persons, remembered for her quirky voice, unusual futuristic fashion sense, and wild makeup and hair colors.
She worked as a Bunny at a Playboy Club in Boston, later appearing in Playboy magazine in 1976 (under the name Toni Consalvi), and several other times.
Bozzio provided vocals for several songs by Frank Zappa. During her work with Zappa, she met future husband Terry Bozzio. They married in 1979, and the two of them founded Missing Persons with Zappa touring guitarist Warren Cuccurullo in 1980.
The band had several hits in the early 1980s, and broke up in 1986. She also divorced Terry Bozzio at that time, but retained the name.
Bozzio's ex-husband once said Dale "looked like a Popsicle" when filming the Words video because of the vibrant colors and clothing she was wearing.
Bozzio has continued to record and perform since the breakup of Missing Persons. She often tours under the band's name although the backing musicians are different from the original band.
