Jessie Wallace (born 25 July 1971) is a British actress who plays the part of Kathleen (Kat) Moon in the popular BBC One soap opera EastEnders. Her on-screen husband Alfie Moon is played by Shane Ritchie. They formerly ran the soap's pub, The Queen Victoria.
It is widely reported by British tabloids that Jessie is an excessive drinker, and she has been convicted of drunk driving. She was set to marry Dave Morgan, one of the police officers who gave her a lift home from the drunk driving related court case, but they have broken up - reportedly because he was tipping off photographers of where he and Jessie were going and cashing in. She gave birth to her first child, Tallulah Lilac on 2 November 2004.
On May 8, 2005, Morgan gave an exclusive interview to British tabloid News of the World. In the article, he talks about Jessie's drunken ways and her sexual habits. Many believe he just did the interview for money. Her real name is Karen Wallace.
