Jared Tristan Padalecki (born July 19, 1982 in San Antonio, Texas) is an American actor of partially Polish descent. He has an older brother, Jeff, and a younger sister, Megan.
He attended James Madison High School and was a candidate 2000 Presidential Scholars Program.
Jared's acting career was launched when he won Fox TV's Claim to Fame Contest in 1999 and appeared on Fox's first Teen Choice Awards. He is best known for his role as Dean Forrester on the Gilmore Girls, although he has had small roles in movies such as A Ring Of Endless Light, New York Minute, Cheaper by the Dozen, Flight of the Phoenix and House of Wax.
Jared is currently starring in the WB series Supernatural.
