Dennis Michael Crosby (born July 13, 1934 in California; died May 7, 1991 in Novato, California) was an American actor, the son of singer and actor Bing Crosby, and the father of actress Denise Crosby. He committed suicide in 1991.

Dennis was the son of Bing Crosby and Dixie Lee Crosby, Bing Crosby's first wife. With his twin brother Phillip Crosby and his other brothers, he attended Bellarmine Academy in Santa Clara. He graduated in 1952 and enrolled at Washington State College at Pullman.

In the late 1950's, Dennis and his brothers often performed as the Crosby Brothers in nightclubs and on the Ed Sullivan Show, though Dennis Crosby reputedly wished to avoid such appearances.

While a young man, Crosby performed military service in Germany.

On May 4, 1958, Crosby married Pat Sheehan, a Las Vegas showgirl. Within days, Crosby was sued by another woman, Marilyn Miller Scott, over the paternity of her daughter, Denise Crosby. The sensational lawsuit lasted three years and ended with Dennis being ordered to pay Scott child support and legal fees. This and the marriage to Sheehan and other details caused deep embarrassment for both him and his famous father. Although Bing died when his granddaughter was 19, the two reportedly never met.

On December 22, 1958, less than eight months after getting married, Dennis and Pat had a son, Dennis Michael, Jr. Their second son, James Anthony was born on December 31, 1960. In 1963, while working in Los Angeles for Bing Crosby Productions, he met Arlene Newman. On July 3, 1964, Dennis and Pat were divorced. Later that year, Dennis married Arlene, with whom he had three daughters. The daughters were Kathy Crosby by her first marriage to Mike Buelle, a boxboy which ended in divorce, prior to marrying Dennis Crosby, and Kelly Lee Crosby and her sister Erin Colleen Crosby, both by Dennis. Arlene has a brother, William Robert Newman, named for William Holden the actor; Arlene's mother was Eva May Hoffman married to composer Emil Newman; she had an affair with William Holden for seven years which produced Arlene, who was told who her father was by Irving Newman, a relative (Randy Newman's father) but Robert Newman (Bill) was never told who his father really was. She refuses to get a DNA test to determine if he is also the son of William Holden. Jill Newman is his daughter by Anna Newman. Dennis and Arlene divorced in 1991.

On December 26, 1989, Crosby's younger brother Lindsay committed suicide by a shotgun blast to the head. Deeply distraught by his brother's passing and his recent divorce and grappling with alcoholism, Dennis Crosby committed suicide on May 7, 1991 in Novato, California, also with a shotgun.
