Adopted son (nicknamed "Ronnie") of comic actors George Burns and Gracie Allen. He was christened Ronald John Burns, and raised (nominally) Catholic, along with his adopted sister, Sandra Jean Burns.
When "Ronnie" was grown, he joined the cast of his parents' 1950-1958 Monday-night television show on CBS, The George Burns and Gracie Allen Show, and later The George Burns Show, which only featured Burns and failed. Ronnie also made a memorable appearance on the episode of The Honeymooners as "Wallace" that featured Jackie Gleason on ice skates, with obviously disastrous results. Sandra Jean Burns made only bit appearances on the shows, and soon retired from showbiz.
