Janice Pennington (born July 8, 1942) was named May 1971 Playboy Playmate of the month, and is one of the original "Barker's Beauties" models on The Price is Right. She currently has the longest tenure of any of the "Barker's Beauties" (1972-2000).
In 1988 Janice was knocked off-stage by a camera during taping and rendered unconcious. She later sued, and in 1992 was awarded $1.3 million. It was the first of many lawsuits filed against TPIR by former models.
In 1995, fellow model Holly Hallstrom was dismissed from the show. When she subsequently complained she had been fired for failing to lose weight -- which she claimed was the result of side-effects from prescription drugs she took for a hormonal imbalance -- Barker sued her for libel and slander. Hallstrom replied with a countersuit. Pennington was fired shortly after having been subpoenaed to give testimony during Hallstrom's lawsuit.
