Tia Dashon Mowry and Tamera Darvette Mowry (born July 6, 1978) are twin actresses, born in Gelnhausen, West Germany to a white father and a black mother. The sisters starred in the television series Sister, Sister, and have appeared in a number of subsequent films, including the Disney Channel telefilms Seventeen Again and Twitches.
Early in their careers, they did McDonald's and Barbie commercials.
Tia and Tamera have also appeared many times in teen magazine articles, on posters, and on other shows.
The actor Tahj Mowry (born 1987) is their younger brother. He starred as T. J. on Smart Guy, which aired on The WB and is today rerun on the Disney Channel.
Today, Tamera plays an intern on Strong Medicine on Lifetime.
Tia and Tamera Mowry star in Disney Channels 17 Again and Twitches.
