From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Elizabeth Hendrickson (born July 3, 1979 in Northport, New York) is an American actress best known for her roles on the ABC soap opera All My Children.
In 2001 when All My Children headwriter Richard Culliton wanted to set up a murder storyline he invented the character of Mary Frances Stone (referred to onscreen as "Frankie" ). She was set to be the lesbian girlfriend of Bianca Montgomery (Eden Riegel) and be killed in 3 months.
It was deemed unlikely that a homosexual pairing on the soap would be successful but fan reaction to the Bianca and Frankie pairing was unprecedented. Unfortunately the Cullition murder storyline couldn't be rewritten so Frankie was killed and Bianca's mother Erica Kane (Susan Lucci) was seen standing over her corpse holding a gun.
This prompted uproar in the soap opera community and producers quickly thought up a way to bring her back to the show. Rather than writing Frankie back to life, they gave Frankie an identical twin sister, Mary Margaret Stone (referred to as Maggie on screen) in 2002. Maggie quickly became instrumental in solving her sister's murder.
Storyline tension were created when it turned out that this character was not gay. This however did not stop Bianca and Maggie fans (fondly referred to in soap circles as BAM) from becoming very vocal about their support for the couple. After several heterosexual pairings did not work on the show writers began suggesting a deepening relationship between the two characters. Eventually Maggie kissed Bianca, moments before her lover Lena Kundera (Olga Sosnovska) walked in.
Offscreen, she became the subject of soap opera gossip by dating fellow soap actors like Jonathan Bennett, Agim Kaba and Jacob Young.
A popular role for Hendrickson, she played Maggie until 2005. Along with former castmate Eden Riegel Hendrickson has since moved to Los Angeles where she is pursuing other acting ventures.
