From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Trevor Eve (born July 1, 1951) is a British film and television actor.
Before enrolling at RADA, he studied architecture at Kingston Polytechnic in London. He is involved with a street charity called Child Hope International. In 1995, while playing polo, he fell badly from his pony, and for 48 hours the doctors feared he would be paralysed.
He was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award of "Best Actor in a New Play" (1981 theatre season), in 1982 for his performance in Children of a Lesser God. In 1997 he was awarded the Laurence Olivier Theatre Award of "Best Actor in a Supporting Role" of 1996 for his performance in Uncle Vanya at the Albery Theatre.
Eve is currently well known for his role as Detective Superintendant Peter Boyd in BBC television drama Waking the Dead.
He has three children by his wife, Maughan: Alice aged 20, Jack aged 17, and George aged 9 (as of 2004).
