From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Sergei Bodrov was born on June 26, 1948 in Khabarovsk, USSR (part of modern day Russia). He is a Russian filmmaker, writer, producer and director. He had a son named Sergei Bodrov Jr. who was killed in an avalanche in the mountains of the North Caucasus on September 20, 2002.
He has directed movies like Mongol (2006), The Nomad (2004), Bear's Kiss (2002), The Quickie (2001), Kavkazskiy Plennik (Prisoner of the Caucasus) (1996), etc...
Among Bodrov's film projects in development is a new film production of Jack London's novel "The Call of the Wild". The works of the American Socialist Jack London were frequent assigned reading for students of English under Communism. London is still popular in Russia. The producers on London's TCOTW are Edward R. Pressman and Walden Media.
Sergei Bodrov currently has an apartment in Los Angeles and a ranch in Arizona and is married to American film consultant Carolyn Cavallaro.
