From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Fyodor Vasilyevich Gladkov was a Soviet Socialist realist writer born on June 9, 1883 in Chernavka, Saratov gubernia and died on December 20, 1958.
Among other positions, he served as the editor of the newspaper "Krasnoye Chernomorye". The secretary of the journal "Novy Mir", special correspondent for "Izvestiya", and was director of the Gorky Literary Institute in Moscow from 1945 to 1948.
