Emil Hallfreðsson (rendered in English as Emil Hallfredsson; born June 29, 1984) is an Icelandic football player who currently plays for Tottenham Hotspur.
He moved to Tottenham at the beginning of calendar year 2005, having spent the rest of his career thus far at FH Hafnarfjarðar of the Úrvalsdeild. He has caps for the Icelandic under-21 national football team. He fills a previously difficult area at the left-side of Spurs' defence which they had been looking to fill for some considerable time. He is yet to start a game for the side.
