From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Martin Kippenberger (born 25 February 1953 in Dortmund, died 7 March 1997 in Vienna), was an influential German artist whose penchant for mischievousness made him the focus of a generation of German enfants terrible including Markus and Albert Oehlen, Georg Herold, Dieter Göls, and Gunter Förg. in 1988 and 2003 he took part in the Venice Biennale, 1997 in the Documenta. He was Member of the Lord Jim Loge.
