From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia Bear McCreary (b. February 17, 1979) is a classically trained composer and musician living in Los Angeles, California. He studied under Elmer Bernstein and has composed original music for over thirty films including Jon Chu's musical short When the Kids are Away. He is currently scoring his second season of the re-imagined Battlestar Galactica.
Bear is a self-taught accordionist and plays in the avant-jazz band 17 Billion Miles of DNA along with his brother, BT4.
Bear McCreary enjoys long walks on the beach, Elvis, Orange Chicken, and plotting about the fate of humanity with his Cylon girlfriend.
