Brenda Dickson (born February 3, 1949 in Long Beach, California) is an American television actress and beauty pageant contestant who won the title of Miss California 1967.
It is her role on The Young and the Restless, however, that has garnered her the most fame and acclaim. Her involvement on the serial merited a cameo in the film Taxi Driver. She played on Y&R in the role of vixen Jill Foster Abbott from 1973 to 1980 and from 1983 to 1987, at which time she was abruptly fired and replaced with actress Jess Walton. Dickson, who had claimed to be very ill at the time, which caused her to put on unwanted weight, immediately filed a number of lawsuits against the show's creator, William J. Bell. The legal battles played out for several years, were documented by America's tabloid press, and were later chronicled on an E! True Hollywood Story.
Today she goes by the name Brenda Dickson-Weinberg and has since retired from acting.
