Rita Lee Jones, know as Rita Lee, (December 31, 1947) is a Brazilian rock singer and composer. Lee was born in São Paulo, Brazil, from an American father and Italian mother.

In 1966, Lee, together with Arnaldo Baptista and Sérgio Dias, formed the band Os Mutantes. After the band broke up in 1972, Lee has released many albums as a solo artist.

Lee was married to her Mutantes fellow Arnaldo Baptista from 1971 to 1977. In 1996, she married Roberto de Carvalho, who was introduced to her by Ney Matogrosso.

Lee was educated in a French school, and speaks English, Portuguese, French and Italian fluently.

Besides her musical career, she had a humoristic program (Radioamador) on radio in 1986, which aired for 9 months, wrote 3 children books in 1986, and appeared on some brazilian movies and TV shows. From 2002 to 2004, she was one of the hostesses of the brazilian TV talk show Saia Justa.
