George Wood (December 31, 1919 - July 24, 2000 in Macon, Georgia) was an American film and television actor. He was one of only three actors to appear in both the M*A*S*H movie and television series (the other two being Gary Burghoff and Timothy Brown.) In both the movie and series, Wood played General Hammond, but the character was dropped after the show's first season.
