Christopher R. (Chris) Bunch (1943–4 July 2005) was an American science fiction and television writer, who wrote and co-wrote around thirty novels.
Born in Fresno, California, he collaborated with Allan Cole on a series of books involving a hero named Sten in a Galactic Empire. He served in Vietnam as a patrol commander. Further he has written for Rolling Stone and had been a correspondent for Stars and Stripes.
His latest work is The Star Risk Series, which incompases 4 (four) novels:

- The Doublecross Program
- The Dog From Hell
