Claribel Medina (born c. 1963) is a Puerto Rican actress who is famous both in her native Puerto Rico and in Argentina.

Medina worked with Luis Vigoreaux in the 1983 theater production, "La Verdadera Historia de Pedro Navaja". Prior to that, she had made her television debut, on a telenovela named "La Verdadera Eva", and graduated from the Universidad de Puerto Rico.

Her first shot at fame in Puerto Rico came early in 1984, when she worked, alongside Braulio Castillo, hijo, Sully Díaz and Salvador Pineda, among others, in the Telemundo Puerto Rico telenovela "Coralito". "Coralito" became a viewer favorite, and Medina had a prominent character in the soap opera.

Medina worked in several other soap operas during 1984, while also attending an acting school in New York.

Medina dedicated 1986 entirely to theater plays, appearing in six of them. 1987 marked a very important year for the actress; she returned to television with Tele Once's telenovela, "La Isla" and she married the famous Argentine actor, Pablo Alarcón.

In 1989, Medina and Alarcon decided to move permanently to Argentina. By 1990, she was becoming well known in that country, participating in the acclaimed telenovela "Apasionada". That same year, she gave birth to the first of two daughters she had with Alarcón.

In 1995, Medina and Alarcón divorced, however, Medina chose to stay in Argentina. Medina's two daughters were born there and were used to living in that country, besides, Medina was busy filling a long television schedule that, as of 2004, has kept her busy. She did return for a brief period to Puerto Rico, where she spent a vacation in 1997 with her daughters, so that her daughters could meet their grandparents and the country where their mother was born.

Medina starred in 2004 in the Telefe soap opera, "Los Roldan", which reached decent levels of popularity among Argentine viewers.

Medina has also worked with Íris Chacón, Andréa del Boca, Ángela Meyer, Camille Carrión, Carlos Vives, Elia Enid Cadilla, Miguel Ángel Rodríguez and other figures of the Latin American show business world.
