Deborah Curtis is the widow of Joy Division's singer and lyricist, Ian Curtis, who committed suicide in 1980. She has one child, Natalie with late husband. In 1995, she published a biography, titled "Touching from a Distance", of her late husband that dealt mainly with his life outside of music. As of 2004 Deborah is currently working on a film project about Ian Curtis; which is tentatively titled "Control".
