From Wikipedia, the free Encyclopedia

Darryl Worley (born October 31, 1964 in Pyburn, Tennessee) is an American country music artist.

This tall Tennessean (he stands 6'6") is best known for his No. 1 hits "I Miss My Friend" (2002), "Have You Forgotten" (2003) and "Awful, Beautiful Life" (2005). Other hits include "A Good Day to Run," "Summer Wind," "Tennesse River Run" and "If Something Should Happen."

He made his Grand Ole Opry debut in June 2000.

Each year, Worley hosts a Charity Foundation Event, the "Tennessee River Run." Proceeds benefit the Darryl Worley Foundation, a not-for-profit organization that provides funds to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center and the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.

K-Mart Song

Worley has also recorded a song entitled, "I Found Love At A K-Mart Store," which the company has taken to playing repeatedly over their stores' intercom systems throughout each day. The song has become notorious amongst K-Mart employees for driving them to the brink of insanity each time they hear it, as well as for prompting complaints from K-Mart customers who have also grown extremely weary of the song. The upper echelons of the K-Mart company appear to remain either oblivious to this, or they just don't care. One wonders if this modern form of torture the company inflicts upon its employees will drive the corporation into bankruptcy yet again.
