Glynis Van Der Reit (born October 25, 1955) is a British actress, born and raised in South Africa. She is sometimes credited as Glynnis Barber.
Although she has been acting since 1978, she is still best known for her mid-80s role of Sgt. Makepeace in the popular British legal drama "Dempsey & Makepeace", where she met her current husband, Michael Brandon.
She also played the recurring character Soolin in Blake's 7.
